Marty Frisk

Marty graduated from Liberty University with a BS degree focused on Bible and Theology. After 3 years of church ministry Marty earned a graduate certificate in TESOL at William Carey International University.

After spending a year teaching English among refugees and immigrants, Marty and his wife, Becky, joined Christar and spent 1985-1991 in Turkey as part of a tent-making church-planting team.

In 1991 Marty was named Christar's VP of New Personnel. He has been the Canadian Director since 1998.

Marty is a mission activist calling Canadian Christians to befriend their immigrant neighbours, move into needy neighbourhoods, do business among the least-reached, and get out of their comfort zone for the sake of Jesus.

Marty loves couch surfing, fresh powder, 15 knot winds, and Turkish coffee.
