  • A tailor-made, 3 month practicum in a Calgary ethnic-specific church family where participants will have opportunity to serve, learn and grow under the mentorship of an ethnic ministry leader.

Global Ministry Methods & Disciplines (3 credits)

  • September 6-10, 2011
  • This course provides opportunity to evaluate and grow in your experience of walking with the Lord. It provides mutual encouragement that fosters devoted follower-ship. In particular it focuses on you as you prepare for cross-cultural ministry by presenting foundational material essential for growth, time for interaction and reflection, supervision and evaluation.

Ethnography (3 credits)

  • January — April 2012
  • How DO they think? How do they see their world? How can I learn to see the world as they see it? Learn techniques to write a study (an ethnography) based on face-to-face interaction with a group of people different from you. Using insights gained through ethnographic study, you will know better how to present the Gospel relevantly to the people with whom you are working.

Global Ethnic-Specific Internship (Overseas, 6 credits)

  • January — April 2012
  • A tailor-made, 3 month internship in an overseas cross-cultural setting where participants will have opportunity to serve, learn and grow under the mentorship of a mission's leader.
